The Washboard is a locally owned and operated laundromat located at 605 S. 12th St, Murray, KY 42071. We opened our doors with a simple goal: to give the Murray community a clean, comfortable, and dependable place to do laundry. From day one, that mission has guided everything we do, from the equipment we choose to the way we care for our space.

Serving Students, Families, and Professionals

We proudly serve families, working professionals, and Murray State University students throughout Murray and Calloway County. Whether you stop in for a quick self-service load or take advantage of our Wash & Fold service, our goal is to make laundry feel simple and stress-free. We know your time matters, and we work hard to earn it every visit.

Open When You Need Us

We’re open every day from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM because we know laundry doesn’t always fit a 9-to-5 schedule. Whether you’re a Murray State student with early classes, a parent managing a busy household, or a professional working long hours, we’re here when you need us. An attendant is on-site from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily to provide the personal service and helpful guidance that makes The Washboard different from other laundromats in Murray.

Our facility features modern, well-maintained washers and dryers in multiple sizes, a coin-free reloadable laundry card system, spacious folding areas, and a bright, welcoming atmosphere.
